Thursday - Friday Rain Event Forecast

In this mainly dry pattern, it looks as though we are going to have a pretty decent rain event here in the northeast US. A strong low pressure system will lift north-northeast from the southeast and hit Eastern West Virginia, Western Virginia, the panhandle of Maryland, and South Central PA the hardest with likely about 2 inches of rain in those areas. As the low moves further north is will combine with a weaker low Great Lakes area and impact Northern New York and Northern Vermont with about 1 - 2 inches of rain.

Elsewhere should expect about a half an inch of rain and almost none at the coast. By Friday morning, the system should be around Maine, with possibly a left over shower or two. Thanks for reading stay tuned to Northeast Weather Action. Here is the rainfall forecast for this event, stay safe and have a great rest of your day/night everyone!
