Here at Northeast Weather Action, one of the models we use to predict the temperatures for winter is a model called the CFS. This models has been reliable the past few years, which prompts it to be used for the 2013 - 2014 winter outlook. So after checking out our new winter outlook, you have the idea that this winter will likely be colder once again. But the CFS was not shown in the outlook, so I figured I would show you it now. Over for the start of this winter, it shows very warm conditions across the west with very cold conditions across the east. As we get further into winter, it looks like the east will remain cooler and the west should return to normal temperatures.
So how much of an impact does this have on our future winter outlooks? It won't have a big impact but it will still be in mind when making the next winter outlook, which will be the 2013 - 2014 Winter Outlook - 2nd Update, which should be out in a month around late August or early September. Thanks for reading and stay tuned to Northeast Weather Action for the latest weather updates and forecast, as well as outlooks! Have a safe and great day and here are the CFS v2 temperatures for this winter!
