Showers To Be Around The Area Today

          It has been a wet end of the week here in the northeast, and today has been way over-estimated as far as shower coverage. Today will just feature some showers around the region, with no long lasting heavy rain expected. Overall mostly cloudy skies will be around the region will possibly some breaks of sun.

          So really don't cancel your outdoor activities because there is no need to unless you have to have a perfect blue sky. August 2013 Forecast: Another Hot and Rainy Month? Find Out!


         I take you through the August 2013 Forecast and show you what we expect in terms of temperatures, precipitation, and tropical activity. I give lots of reasoning to why I forecast what I do. Strong Thunderstorms Possible Behind The Rain: Will You See One?

          The moderate rain is now in Southern New England but behind it, scattered strong thunderstorms are beginning to pop-up and move west. They will not cause any damage but just will put your outdoor plans on hold for about 10 minutes. The best chance for seeing one of these showers/thunderstorms is in South Central Pennsylvania, Central and Western Maryland, as well as Western Virginia.

          So just watch out for a scattered shower or thunderstorm until about 9 PM tonight. Here is a graphic showing the areas with a chance of have a shower/ thunderstorm. Tomorrow's Detailed Forecast: The Rain Is Back! But For How Long? Find Out!

          When we wake up in the morning, showers will be around the region with the heavy rain mostly to the south. By about 10 AM, moderate rain will be Eastern West Virginia, Maryland, Eastern Virginia, and South Central Pennsylvania. By noon, moderate patches of rain should be as far north as New York. No heavy rain is expected but mainly tight - moderate showers.

          After that, the early afternoon will have the same moderate rain patches, now as far north as New England, this should continue until the late night hours of tomorrow night.
